Cast Comparison Toolkit - Visualising multiple SVP’s

  • Reads in CARIS SVP format files – ideally covering one day of casts (used in CARIS, exportable from QPS, HYPACK?).

  • Differences at 1m intervals (takes reading nearest to the metre mark).
  • Works down to a depth of 250m.
  • Outputs a results file which is readily plotted in Excel etc. --- and QC file to check validity of parsing…

This is the utility that provided the basis for the Hardy et al. paper presented at Shallow Survey 2015, entitled "Analysis of SVP variability and its implications on sounding uncertainty, from the INFOMAR multi-annual baseline mapping programme."

This software is provided without any WARRANTY etc. - it has bugs & errors, but is provided as a research tool. INFOMAR assert their copyright on this and simple derivatives - please retain our logo on minor changes. Comments and feedback can be directed to david.hardy@gsi.ie
