Conference Programme
A quick glance at what is a very comprehensive conference programme will show that the conference will include a review of activities to date (including both the INSS and INFOMAR programmes), research based on survey data, noteworthy achievements and plans for the future.

The conference, which is free , incorporates the annual “seabed seminar” which usually provides a detailed review of that particular year’s activity.

Conference Location
The conference will be held in Liberty Hall Theatre which is located in Liberty Hall, central Dublin (Dublin 1). The theatre is less than 100 metres from O'Connell Street and also within walking distance of Tara Street DART Station, the LUAS Red Line stop at Lower Abbey Street, the mainline rail station at Connolly, and Busaras (the regional bus station). Heuston Station is just a brief ride away on the LUAS or by taxi. The ILAC Centre Car Park is located just 100 metres to its rear.

Posters
The conference will also host a poster exhibition so please book poster space for your project/organisation, but space is limited and is available on a first come first served basis.

The Naming of the RV Keary
At conference close on Tuesday 6th October, conference delegates will be transported to Poolbeg Marina for the ministerial dedication and official naming of Ireland’s newest national research vessel, the RV Keary , followed by a reception.
Delegates will also be able to board the vessel for a brief tour.

Griffith's Geoscience Research Awards Seminar
Attendees may also be interested in attending a seminar to be held the previous day (October 5th) in GSI's Dublin offices. This will be the latest Griffith’s Geoscience Research seminar, detailing a broad range of high-end research projects (both on and off shore) being funded by awards from GSI’s parent department, the Department of Communications, Energy & Natural Resources.
