RMS Leinster, operated by the City of Dublin Steam Packet Company, served as the Kingstown (now DĂșn Laoghaire) - Holyhead mailboat. She was torpedoed and sunk by German submarine UB-123 on October 10th 1918, while bound for Holyhead. The wreck is in Dublin Bay, 4 nautical miles east of the Kish Bank Lighthouse. Over 500 people perished in the sinking.
