We are pleased to announce that from September 2018 the INFOMAR program will feature in the national Junior Cycle curriculum.
As part of an initiative to develop our Education & Outreach program we have teamed up with ScoilNet, an on-line education portal, to bring seabed mapping into every classroom in the country. Each individual classroom plan, created by experienced Geography teachers will make our data accessible, and fun to work with via a series of defined learning objectives and engaging activity plans.
ScoilNet supports Primary and Post-Primary teachers in sharing and finding useful resources for the classroom. Students will be introduced to seabed mapping, map-making, geology, our marine atlas and even our marine history as we look at the stories behind our fascinating shipwrecks and much more.
