During the current year of the second phase of INFOMAR (2016-2026), operations are planned to take place within the following bays, harbours and offshore areas:
The Geological Survey Ireland vessels - RV Keary, RV Geo, RV Lir, RV Mallet, and RV Galtee - will operate between March and November:
- Atlantic Ocean and Celtic Sea Coasts: Potentially any unmapped areas of the Atlantic and Celtic Sea coasts, with an offshore boundary of 30 nautical miles (NM).
- Irish Sea: Areas of the Irish Sea along the Ireland/UK border stretching from east of County Dublin to east of County Wexford. Coastal areas of the Irish Sea.
The RV Tom Crean will conduct surveys in the Celtic Sea and the Atlantic Ocean on the following dates:
- 03/03/2026 – 31/03/2026: Celtic Sea & Atlantic Ocean
- 08/04/2026 – 23/04/2026: Celtic Sea & Atlantic Ocean
- 11/05/2026 – 03/06/2026: Celtic Sea & Atlantic Ocean
- 25/11/2026 – 04/12/2026: Celtic Sea & Atlantic Ocean
