The RV Mallet is a purpose-built catamaran hydrographic research vessel operated by Geological Survey Ireland. The vessel facilitates the collection of hydrographic and geophysical data for inshore operations. It is 18m in length with a draft of only 1.4m making it ideal for a wide range of shallow and deeper water surveying. It is licenced to survey from shallow coastal waters to the 30 nautical mile limit as part of the INFOMAR programme.
